Test Information

When a skater advances into StarSkate or Competitive Skate, they will have the opportunity to take Skate Canada tests through a nationally standardized testing system.  The Maple Ridge Skating Club will hold low test days at regular intervals throughout the skating season. Skaters may test in catagories of Freeskate, Skills, Dance and/or Interpretive.
High tests days are coordinated by the BC Coast Region for skaters above the Sr Bronze levels in Freeskate, Skills, Dance and Interpretive.  These events are held at various centralized club locations around the Lower Mainland.   The skater is evaluated on a scale of excellent, good, satisfactory or needs improvement and the results are given to the coach to share with individual skaters and her/ his parents.
